Hello to all my ADHD peeps, and ADHD loved ones,
Here I am with another update of my life on the current years journey. I ended up taking my first test for medical school the other day. I was not completely satisfied with my studying I felt like I ended up wasting some time here and there when I could have been doing something a little more productive, but the end of the day I was able to take care of business and finish my first exam.
I think one thing that I am learning from medical school is the fact that I am not going to know everything. There are times when we are going over material and it just doesn’t stick I think those are the times where I have to sit back take a break from that material and come up with a new solution on how I need to study the material or I need to determine if I am going too deep into the material. There is so much to learn and very little time, but something that is nice is the fact that we are studying material that is relevant to what we are going to do out in the world one day. No we are not always going over different diseases, but we are learning about the biology that makes up the body, we are understanding the chemistry of why ions are moving down their concentration gradients, and we are understanding the physics of how you sense the environment that is around you. It is all so intricate and it is something that I am extremely grateful to be part of.
I want to verify that it is really hard, but I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world right now other than continuing the pursuit to my dream career.
